Why Do I Need An Insurance Agent?

Navigating Medicare can feel like a daunting task for many beneficiaries. With a myriad of plans, options, and regulations, it’s no wonder that confusion and frustration are common. Many find themselves overwhelmed by the complexity of the choices available, leading to dissatisfaction with their healthcare coverage and missed opportunities for better care.

As the population ages, the need for more comprehensive and reliable healthcare becomes even more essential. However, many Medicare beneficiaries have difficulty understanding their benefits, which can lead to extra costs, missed or postponed care, surprise bills, issues with medications, and overlooked chances to save money. This complexity often leaves beneficiaries feeling less confident about making healthcare decisions.

That’s where we can help.

We believe you have the right to know and understand your coverage options so that you can make an informed decision based on your unique needs. At BeWell, our goal is to help you navigate this process with confidence by guiding you with up-to-date information, unbiased advice, and full transparency.

With BeWell, there is no need to second-guess or worry about any misinterpretations. We’ll explain the hard stuff and give you the peace of mind you deserve.

BeWell Helps You.

Know Your Options.

Medicare offers various plans and options—Parts A, B, C, and D—as well as Medicare Supplement Insurance. It can be difficult to weigh the options, especially when they are a part of a complex system that can sometimes be intimidating. We help you comprehend all the options to make informed decisions.

  • Part A is hospital insurance that covers hospital strays, skilled nursing, and home health care.

Part B is medical insurance that covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventative services, and more.

Part C is Medicare Advantage and consolidates Part A and B benefits into one plan. Offered by private health insurance companies, they generally include prescription drug coverage and often come with extra benefits such as dental and vision.

Part D is prescription drug coverage that is offered by private health insurers and helps you pay for your prescription medications.

  • Medicare Supplement Insurance helps cover costs Medicare doesn’t, like copays and deductibles. Whether you need it depends on your health and budget — we’ll help you decide.

Compare Prices and Plans.

We will help you make important comparisons between multiple carriers and plan types side-by-side, looking at benefits, premiums, drug coverage, and networks to help you find the right fit for your needs.

  • We are independent and not tied to a single insurer. We present unbiased options so you can choose what works for you.

  • As many as are available in your ZIP code and relevant to your needs — we do the legwork for you.

Save on Prescriptions.

We compare your current prescriptions with your insurance plan’s formulary and check prices across several plans to find the most cost-effective option for you. We also offer details about the “extra help” program as well as pharmaceutical assistance and discount cards that can reduce costs at the pharmacy.

  • We can compare other Part D or Medicare Advantage plans to find the one that covers your needs. We can also explore alternative medications and discuss how to file appeals or request exceptions as needed.

  • Yes — prices can fluctuate, and you may enter different coverage stages. We can help you understand how this works before you enroll.

Check In Every Year.

Medicare health plans can change annually, making it hard to stay informed about the latest rules. Plus, your coverage needs can change. By meeting annually, we can update you on any changes that you need to know to maintain your benefits.

  • We highly recommend it — even if your plan hasn’t changed, your prescriptions, doctors, or health needs might have.

  • We can do a quick check to confirm nothing has changed — and if it’s still the best option, you can keep it with confidence.

Avoid Costly Mistakes.

An uninformed decision can result in unnecessary out-of-pocket expenses or gaps in coverage. We work to help you avoid common pitfalls that can end up costing you down the road.

  • Timely enrollment, maintaining prescription drug coverage, saving proof of employer insurance, and understanding special election periods can help you avoid lifetime penalties. We’ll walk you thru the timing to ensure you remain penalty-free.

  • We’ll explain premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums so there are no surprises.

Keep the Same Providers.

If you are happy with your current healthcare providers, you shouldn’t have to switch. We’ll check your current Medicare health plan and identify which providers are in-network for any potential new plans, so you can keep seeing the providers you trust.

  • We’ll find plans that include your doctor, or review alternatives if you’re open to switching providers.

  • Yes – you may be able to change your plan if your doctor is no longer in-network, but it will depend on the type of plan you have and when it happens.

Enroll with Confidence.

Enrolling in Medicare with confidence starts with understanding your choices and timeline.  Working with BeWell can simplify the process and help you choose the coverage that fits your health needs and budget, confidently.

  • You can enroll during your initial election period at age 65, the annual election period, open enrollment or special election periods. We review your options so won’t miss any opportunity.

  • Yes — we can see if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period to get you covered as soon as possible.

Ask Us For Help, Anytime.
